Jabs opened to private hospitals to speed up drive, but number of giving shots down to 1/3rd

The new vaccination strategy was supposed to boost inoculation through the private sector but CoWin data shows that it has actually reduced the number of private facilities providing doses. With these hospitals left to stitch up deals with manufacturers directly, most that are not part of large pan-India corporate chains lack the wherewithal to arrange for procurement, transport and other logistics.
