On Wednesday (November 2) morning, the Qir Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi ranged from 360(Very Poor) to 481 (Severe Plus) as almost the entire National Capital Region was covered in a layer of haze. The national capital in the morning appeared to be a ‘gas chamber’, as reports came of an alarming 33.5 per cent rise in stubble burning incidents (13,873) in Punjab.
