Bhagirath Manjhi, son of 'Mountain Man' Dashrath Manjhi, and Ali Anwar join Congress

Ahead of Bihar Assembly Election 2025, Bhagirath Manjhi, son of Dashrath Manjhi – the ‘Mountain Man’ of Bihar, joined Congress party. Alongside, former Janata Dal (United) MP Ali Anwar also joined the party on Tuesday. In a press conference held today, Congress leaders welcomed Manjhi, Anwar and former AAP leader Nishant Anand in to the party. Anand fought election from Gurugram in Lok Sabha elections 2024, he was also a spokesperson of AAP.

Supreme Court acquits death row convict Chandrabhan Sanap in 2014 Mumbai techie's rape-murder case

The Supreme Court on Tuesday acquitted Chandrabhan Sanap, who had been sentenced to death for the rape and murder of a 23-year-old techie from Mumbai. Sanap had been convicted and sentenced to death by a special women’s court in 2015 for the horrific crime.
