One day before visiting Lumbini, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India's ties with Nepal are unparalleled and based on civilisational and people-to-people contacts. PM Modi is slated to visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, and participate in festivisites, marking Buddha Purnima. He will also hold a bilateral meeting with Nepal's Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
