Parliament Budget Session: Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Monday slammed Rahul Gandhi for "telling lies" during his speech in the Lok Sabha and indicated that the treasury benches may seek action against the Congress leader for "misleading" the House. Meanwhile, a group of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs moved a breach of parliamentary privilege notice against Congress Member of Parliament Sonia Gandhi, alleging the use of derogatory and slanderous words to describe President Droupadi Murmu as she addressed a joint session of Parliament last week.

Dense fog disrupts train services in North India, 49 trains running late

Dense fog in North India has severely impacted train services, with numerous trains running hours behind schedule. On January 4, 2025, 49 trains arriving and departing from Delhi were running late due to reduced visibility caused by heavy fog.
