Internet suspended in Odisha's Bhadrak after clash breaks out between two communities, nine held

Section 144 was on Friday evening imposed in Odisha's Bhadrak after a violent clash broke out between 2 communities over a controversial social media post. This prompted the administration to impose prohibitory orders in areas under the Puranabazar police station. The Odisha government has suspended internet services in the Bhadrak district for 48 hours in view of violent communal incidents due to social media postings. Nine persons have been held in connection with the matter.
